Our federal government client, the Clean Energy Regulator, is seeking experienced Lead Data Engineers to join a major enterprise data transformation initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise Azure-based data lakes and Synapse pipelines
• Develop scalable ELT/ETL and data integration solutions
• Lead enterprise data migration and transformation initiatives
• Implement data quality, governance, and operational readiness practices
• Drive CI/CD and modern engineering practices across delivery teams
• Mentor engineers and contribute to data engineering capability uplift
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Strong experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and cloud-scale data platforms

✔ Advanced SQL and/or Python (PySpark) expertise

✔ Experience designing ELT/ETL and medallion architecture pipelines

✔ Proven capability delivering enterprise data migration programs

✔ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

✔ Experience working within governance and quality assurance frameworks
