Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

The company produces content across all genres and formats while building strong connections with diverse viewers. Its rapidly growing streaming strategy spans free, broad – pay, and premium tiers.

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to design and build the systems that empower our teams to develop, test, and release exceptional software at scale. In this role, you will act as a force multiplier, working across backend services, frontend tooling, test automation, CI/CD workflows, and emerging AI-driven quality solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO:

• Design and build scalable internal platforms and testing frameworks.
• Develop backend services (Spring Boot) to support automation and workflows.
• Build frontend tools (TypeScript) to improve developer experience.
• Create and maintain end-to-end and API automation solutions.
• Integrate testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve test reliability, performance, and coverage.
• Enable self-service testing capabilities for engineering teams.
• Contribute to AI-powered solutions (e.g., test generation, quality insights).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive quality best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript or any modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building test automation frameworks (TestNG, Selenium, Playwright, Appium).
• Strong understanding of API testing and backend validation, end-to-end testing strategies, object-oriented design principles.
• Hands-on experience working in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based solutions.
• English – B2+.

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Deep experience working with: Docker / Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or OCI), event-driven systems (Kafka or similar), observability tools (Datadog, etc.).
• Experience with OTT / streaming platforms.
