Supply Chain Planning Director | FULLY REMOTE (CST Preferred) | Emerging Snacks BrandRole Overview:
My client is an emerging snack brand with product in regional and national retailers across the US! This role is responsible for building and leading the planning function that ensures product availability, operational efficiency, and scalable growth. You’ll connect demand, supply, and financial inputs to drive smart decisions across production, inventory, and procurement.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, you’ll balance strategy with execution owning both the long-term planning framework and the day-to-day decisions that keep the business running smoothly.
What You’ll Own:End-to-End Planning Execution
- Convert forecasts into actionable production, material, and inventory plans
- Manage capacity, lead times, and supply constraints across manufacturing partners
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while protecting service and margins
- Identify risks early and develop contingency plans
Demand Planning Oversight
- Improve forecasting processes, tools, and accuracy
- Incorporate inputs like promotions, launches, and seasonality
- Lead and develop demand planning resources
Business Planning
- Run weekly execution planning (S&OE) to manage near-term tradeoffs
- Lead monthly planning cycles (S&OP) and evolve toward integrated business planning
- Align closely with Finance on forecasts, budgets, and cost implications
Inventory & Procurement Strategy
- Define inventory targets across finished goods, raw materials, and packaging
- Ensure readiness for new product launches and transitions
- Improve visibility into materials and supplier capabilities
- Drive working capital efficiency and reduce excess/obsolete inventory
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product teams to align priorities
- Serve as the central point connecting demand signals with operational execution
Process & Systems Improvement
- Build scalable tools, reporting, and planning processes
- Improve data quality, reduce manual work, and increase decision speed
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of supply chain planning experience
- MUST come from food & beverage; ideally in fast-paced, emerging brands
- Strong background across demand, supply, inventory, and production planning
- Experience leading S&OP, S&OE, or similar planning processes
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capabilities
- Proven ability to build processes in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments
- Clear communicator with strong cross-functional leadership skills
- Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous, evolving situations
- Hands-on operator who can also think strategically
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving instincts
- Bias for action and accountability
- Able to navigate complexity and prioritize effectively
Offering:
- $150,000 - $165,000 base salary range
- 15% annual bonus target
