Senior Test Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Test Manager to lead testing initiatives across complex projects in various industries. In this role, you will drive test planning, team leadership, quality assurance, and risk management throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end testing process, from strategy and planning to execution and reporting
• Define and manage test frameworks, tools, environments, and quality metrics
• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to ensure test coverage
• Manage and mentor a team of testers, allocating resources and tracking performance
• Oversee test automation strategies and implementation
• Identify testing risks and manage defect lifecycle through JIRA or similar tools
• Provide regular updates to project and delivery managers on test progress and risks

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a test management or lead role
• Proven experience in test strategy development and large-scale project delivery
• Expertise in functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, Postman, or similar
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments
• Must have full Australian working rights

Desirable

• ISTQB certification or similar
• Experience in managing offshore or cross-functional QA teams
• Exposure to performance testing, security testing, or mobile testing tools
• Prior experience working in finance, government, or enterprise-scale environments
