About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer / UI Designer to join our client’s dynamic team on a 6-month initial contract. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London approximately once every few months. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing end-to-end user experiences for a new insurance programme, ensuring the delivery of intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UX/UI design, particularly within the insurance or financial services sector, and possess strong proficiency in Figma. This position offers a competitive daily rate of 450-550 GBP, inside IR35, working through an umbrella company. Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or UI Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects.
  • Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups.
  • Experience working within the insurance or financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of global accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly designs.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end UX design process for new insurance products, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into compelling user experiences.
  • Create detailed wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using Figma to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to global accessibility standards, providing inclusive solutions for diverse user groups.
  • Conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate designs for improved usability and engagement.
  • Maintain consistency in design language and user interface elements across the platform.
  • Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends and industry best practices to continuously enhance the quality of deliverables.
