QA Engineer (Fintech & Investment Platforms)📍 Latvia (Hybrid / Remote) - The candidate need to live or relocate to Latvia

A growing international fintech and financial services organisation is looking to hire a QA Engineer to take ownership of quality across its Investment Technologies function.

This is a high-impact, newly created role, offering the opportunity to build and shape QA practices from the ground up within a complex, multi-system environment.

The Role

You will act as the primary quality owner across investment-related platforms, ensuring strong release confidence, reducing production issues, and improving how business requirements are validated and delivered.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks in end-to-end business flows, understands system dependencies, and enjoys working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process end-to-end, coordinating with business stakeholders and managing defect tracking
  • Participate in requirements discussions and user story refinement, identifying gaps and defining clear acceptance criteria
  • Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and checklists across functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Validate complex business workflows across multiple systems and integrations
  • Verify data accuracy using API responses, SQL queries, and source data comparisons
  • Log, prioritise, and track defects with clear documentation and follow through to resolution
  • Test role-based access controls, entitlements, and approval workflows
  • Lead smoke, regression, and release validation testing before deployments
  • Build and maintain reusable release test packs
  • Contribute to the development of QA standards, processes, and (over time) automation coverageWhat We’re Looking For
  • 2–5 years of experience in QA, primarily manual and functional testing
  • Strong understanding of UI testing, multi-step workflows, validation rules, and error handling
  • Experience testing integrated systems where changes impact downstream functionality
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and browser developer tools
  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or brokerage, or strong motivation to develop domain knowledge quickly
  • Strong experience with defect reporting, test case management, and QA documentation
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Linear, Postman, Swagger, or similar
  • Comfortable working closely with developers, business stakeholders, and operations teams
  • Experience with role-based access and entitlement testing in regulated environments
  • Exposure to test automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) is a plus

What’s on Offer

  • Opportunity to own and shape the QA function within a growing fintech environment
  • Exposure to complex, integrated investment and financial platforms
  • Collaborative, cross-functional working environment
  • Flexible working model (hybrid / remote options)
  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives
  • Strong potential for career growth and impact
