The Role

Our studio is roughly divided between website projects (designing, building and migrating websites) and ongoing optimization of existing websites. We are seeking an experienced Director level leader to manage delivery of our portfolio of website projects and oversee the project managers focused on those projects. Reporting to the COO, the Director of Website Project Management will be responsible for elevating the skills of our project managers, anticipating and troubleshooting project challenges, driving operational excellence and profitability, strengthening our internal processes, and ensuring the business can continue to deliver high-impact results for enterprise clients at scale.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned operator with a deep understanding of agency operations and financials, proven experience managing high-performing PMs, and a passion for building efficient systems that foster both creativity and operational rigor.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Partner with the directors of the design and development teams to define, refine, and execute BX Studio’s delivery model.

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage our talented team of Website Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

• Financial Management: Oversee the revenue pipeline of the website portfolio, working closely with Operations to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.

• Client Delivery Oversight: Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards, with systems that scale across multiple enterprise engagements.

• Talent & Culture: Recruit, train, retain, and develop top Project Management talent while maintaining a thriving, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

• Partnerships & Innovation: Support strategic partnerships and explore new service lines or innovations that expand BX Studio’s market leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional services operational experience primarily within website-focused digital agencies.

• Proven track record of scaling operations, building teams, and implementing systems that drive efficiency without compromising creativity.

• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.

• Experience working with enterprise clients and understanding the rigor of enterprise-level delivery.

• Passion for design, technology, and the future of both CMS and AI-based solutions.
