Position: EDI Market & Competitive Strategy Analyst

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $80 to $130 per hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct structured analysis of the EDI and fulfillment solutions market, including incumbents and emerging players.
• Evaluate competitive moats such as network effects, switching costs, regulatory barriers, and embedded ERP integrations.
• Assess AI disruption potential across legacy providers and AI first startups.
• Develop forward looking strategic scenarios on product positioning and defensibility.
• Produce executive ready reports and structured strategic insights.

Requirements

• Experience in enterprise SaaS market analysis, supply chain technology, EDI platforms, strategy consulting, or private equity diligence.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards, ERP integrations, and fulfillment workflows.
• Experience analyzing competitive moats and enterprise software defensibility.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured insights.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, research driven environments.
