Position: Backend Software Engineer Python

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $200 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time (15–20 hours per week)

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and validate Python coding benchmarks using real-world repositories
• Curate issues, solutions, and test suites that reflect production-grade workflows
• Ensure benchmark tasks include comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Maintain consistency and scalability of benchmark task distribution
• Provide structured feedback on solution quality and clarity
• Debug, optimize, and document benchmark code for reliability and reproducibility

Requirements

• Strong experience as a backend engineer, ML engineer, or applied data scientist
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Proven experience debugging, testing, and validating codebases
• Comfort with technical writing and clear documentation
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote research environment
