Job Description

Posted on: May 5, 2026

Do you possess the ability to analyze the intricate layers of a Shakespearean sonnet or deconstruct a word's phonetic components with precision? Consider applying that linguistic and literary mastery alongside advanced AI to revolutionize language and literature instruction for millions of learners. At 2 Hour Learning, we are not simply imagining the future of English education—we are engineering it into an adaptive, immersive learning environment. We are looking for a forward-thinking professional to drive our initiative in reshaping English and Language Arts instruction through rigorous data analysis, pioneering AI integration, and comprehensive subject expertise. Your objective? To accelerate student comprehension of language concepts and literary analysis by a factor of two, spanning foundational phonics through sophisticated literary criticism. At 2 Hour Learning, we are transforming K-12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI-powered learning platform is changing the way students acquire knowledge, allowing them to master content at double the pace of conventional schooling. We are not adjusting the existing system; we are reconstructing it entirely, backed by evidence that validates its effectiveness. Students on our platform routinely earn 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, exhibit more than two years' growth on annual MAP assessments, and exceed their own assumptions about their capabilities. If you are prepared to deploy extensive ELA knowledge within an AI framework that is already delivering verified outcomes, submit your application today. What You Will Be Doing

  • Examine student reading and writing performance metrics — including Reel engagement data, MAP scores, and assessment outcomes — utilizing AI workflows and LLM orchestrations to pinpoint learning gaps and create targeted interventions. (Approximately 40% of your time will be dedicated to this.)
  • Building AI-driven tools that respond to individual learning preferences, rendering grammar intuitive, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis approachable for students across all proficiency levels.
  • Developing dynamic instructional pathways that adjust in real-time, shepherding students from phonics through the interpretation of complex texts, ensuring each learner advances at an optimized rate.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, assessment specialists, and AI engineers to ensure content alignment with curriculum standards and to verify the accuracy of AI-generated instructional materials.
  • Converting classic and contemporary literature into interactive, AI-enriched experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and writing.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Overseeing conventional English curricula or performing administrative duties—this position centers on innovation and strategic enhancement of language arts instruction and learning within our accelerated framework.
  • Manually grading large volumes of essays — AI manages the assessment workload, allowing you to concentrate on system refinement rather than paper marking.
  • Teaching toward standardized test preparation — students in this environment already exceed AP performance benchmarks, so your efforts are directed toward enriching mastery, not repetitive test drills.

Learning Designer Key Responsibilities Accelerate student mastery of English and Language Arts across all grade levels, targeting 2x the learning speed of traditional instruction. Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience teaching English/Language Arts or developing ELA curriculum, with demonstrable impact on learning outcomes
  • Formal coursework in learning sciences, or 2+ years applying learning science principles in educational product or content development.
  • Basic coding abilities in any programming language
  • Experience designing, implementing, or using AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning using the LLM APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights from it
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex English/Language Arts concepts to diverse stakeholders in a professional setting
