About the role

A well-established global crowdfunding platform supporting creators across film, games, music, art, design and technology is hiring a Director of Product Marketing to build the function from the ground up.

This is a founding Product Marketing leadership seat. Product Marketing is the core of the role: positioning, messaging, launches, packaging and the GTM systems that turn product capability into adoption on both sides of a global two-sided marketplace. Growth sits alongside it, but the hire is a product marketer first, with the craft to translate product into audience-facing narrative and the operating muscle to turn one-off launches into repeatable programmes. Candidates leaning primarily on growth, performance or lifecycle marketing without deep PMM pedigree won’t be the right fit.

Role: Director, Product Marketing (with Growth remit)

Salary: Up to $240,000

Location: Fully remote, US only, 4-day week

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own product positioning and messaging end to end, translating product capability into clear, compelling value propositions for both creators and backers
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for every product and feature launch, driving awareness and adoption across both sides of the marketplace
  • Design, standardise and own a tiered portfolio of launch and promotion packages with fixed deliverables that Outreach can sell and Marketing can fulfil without custom work every time
  • Build and own sales enablement for the Outreach team: pitch materials, talk tracks, competitive positioning and training that lifts win rates and consistency
  • Define and own the competitive narrative, keeping positioning sharp as the market moves
  • Lead demand generation programmes that feed the Outreach pipeline, including webinars, open calls and referral programmes
  • Standardise marketing processes, launch briefs and tooling to raise efficiency and quality across the team
  • Define and track the metrics that matter across positioning effectiveness, product adoption, enablement impact and launch package delivery
  • Partner closely with Product, Outreach and Lifecycle Marketing to join the GTM function up end to end

What you’ll need:

  • Proven Product Marketing leader with a strong PMM background: positioning, messaging, launches, competitive and enablement
  • Track record building Product Marketing programmes and GTM systems from scratch inside a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong craft translating product capability into audience-facing narrative and sharp value propositions
  • Hands-on sales enablement experience, having equipped a sales or outreach team with content, tools and training that measurably improved performance
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a founding function leader: builder energy, strong taste, high bar on craft
  • Data-driven approach with clear KPIs for Product Marketing work and the discipline to improve off the back of them
  • Exceptional cross-functional operator, with real influence across Product, Sales and wider Marketing
  • Comfortable with CRM strategy, marketing automation and the modern marketing tech stack

Nice to have:

  • Background at a platform, marketplace or two-sided consumer product
  • Exposure to creator economy, crowdfunding or similar community-led growth models
  • Experience standing up launch tiering or packaged offering frameworks at scale
  • Prior work alongside outreach or sales-led acquisition motions as part of a broader PMM remit

This role would suit a senior Product Marketer who wants a founding seat to build Product Marketing properly, with Growth sitting alongside it, in a 4-day-week, fully remote setup inside a mission-led platform.
