Social Media Manager & Content Creator (2-3 Days/Week)

Role Description

We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Manager & Content Creator to join our team on a part-time freelance basis (2-3 days per week). Our team are based in Barcelona and Amsterdam, but remote applicants are also welcome.

This role is ideal for a freelancer already working with multiple clients who is looking for a flexible position with creative freedom and collaborative projects.

About The Role

You’ll help create engaging social media content across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. The role combines content planning, graphic design, short-form video editing, and day-to-day social media management.

We’re looking for someone who understands current social trends, can create visually engaging content quickly, and enjoys contributing creative ideas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create engaging social media content using Buffer
• Design graphics and carousels in Canva
• Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar
• Create content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Schedule and publish content across social platforms
• Stay up to date with social media trends and viral formats
• Contribute content ideas and campaign concepts
• Support community management and audience engagement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management and/or content creation
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Native level of English
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form content
• Strong design skills with the ability to create visually appealing graphics
• Experience editing videos using CapCut or similar software
• Creative eye for social-first content and storytelling
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
• Results-oriented mindset
• Experience with social media analytics and performance tracking

Bonus Points

• Comfortable appearing on camera
• Experience working in education or higher education marketing

What we're looking for:

Someone creative, fast-moving, and plugged into internet culture. You don’t need to be an influencer, but you should understand what makes content perform online and be excited about experimenting with new ideas.
