Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time Sales Development Representative to be based in the UK/Ireland. The role is ideally suited to a proactive, ambitious individual with a passion for geopolitics and security. The SDR will demonstrate the personality traits essential for a sales role: tenacity, autonomy, resilience, collaboration and excellent communication skills.

What We Are Looking For:

ERI is looking for an early career Sales Development Representative who will drive sales pipeline development including conducting research on potential new clients, identifying new sales opportunities and target markets, conducting cold outreach and lead development. The SDR will be provided training and mentoring to build the requisite skills needed to become a successful sales professional in the risk intelligence space. In addition to the sales training, the SDR will be given corporate intelligence, analysis, tradecraft and writing training to understand how our clients apply security intelligence techniques to a business environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in driving sales and business development initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation for account executives and sales managers.
  • Update and manage all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in CRM.
  • Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with new clients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Conduct research to identify new sales opportunities and target markets.
  • Conduct outreach to ensure that the sales pipeline is maintained at the required level at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director and Business Development team to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.
  • Support the Commercial Director & Business Development team in various administrative and programmatic tasks as required.

Experience and Skills Required: The right candidate will possess most or all of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. International Relations, Politics, Journalism, War Studies etc.).
  • 1-3 years in similar role preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours: Role is a standard UK / Ireland / Europe business hours position; however, as a member of a global team, the successful candidate will be required to work some early mornings or evenings to attend meetings or calls in other time zones. ERI is committed to a manageable and sustainable work-life balance. Only candidates willing and able to work a flexible schedule will be considered.

Remuneration: This role will be a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
