About The Role As Head of Impulse Development and Strategy, you will report into the Sales and Trade Marketing Director and be responsible for the development and implementation of the Impulse Strategy to achieve strong market share growth within the channel across the next 3 years and beyond. You will be responsible for creating an optimum Impulse Range (Product/Pack/Price/Case Size) to deliver core distribution growth to deliver the market share requirements as well as unlocking distribution opportunities through current and new customers and distributors (biscuits and confectionary). Working cross functionally is a key element to the sole to ensure alignment on Impulse requirements. Main Responsibilities
- Ensure margin accretive yet competitive pricing and trading terms agreements are created and implemented to deliver growth
- To drive sales and market share within the impulse channel - by developing and executing key strategies to maximise product visibility and availability – including Online.
- Achieve Budgeted tonnage, NSV and GM/GM%
- Collaborate with Marketing and Trade Marketing to activate core and NPD marketing campaigns across wholesale and retail
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all Customer/Distributors including Buying Groups and end Users
- Develop and implement a Strong Push/Pull plan across the channel that has the appropriate product/Price Inc PMP and promotional plan that has been developed for this channel
- Drive new business in sub channels/retailers that currently have no distribution of FBC Channels that are part of the Impulse channel market share read.
- Full cross communication process of all plans to Third parties (e.g SHS and FSS) as well as to direct team and other functions internally.
- Development of all tools needed by Third parties and direct team to support when in the trade
- Develop awareness and capability of Impulse team Including category so FBC become recognized as Category champions and support Plangrams and distribution in depot/vans and in store
- Full Commodity Inflation to be recovered when required, and JBPs to be aligned, and implemented to drive profitable growth with all customers
- Team support and Development. Creation and tracking of Key objectives and Development plans
Who We Are Looking For
- 10 years plus experience in the FMCG Impulse channel
- Strong Analytical skills, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong relationship development skills
- Line Management experience
- Proven track record to develop and implement an Impulse range and strategy including a push/pull approach
