We're looking for an operations professional to join our team, managing and maintaining the organisational foundations of the charity. This is a one year, fixed-to-permanent role, subject to extension.

Salary: £32,000-£37,000, depending on experience.About GlitchOur mission is to ensure that internet technologies in the information ecosystem do not replicate or further discrimination to Black women and other marginalised people. We’re a Black-led, transnationally-focused remote charity, with the majority of our staff in the UK. Our Executive Director (“ED”) in Canada travels frequently to Europe and elsewhere for business.

We started our work squarely focused on online abuse; now our key area of focus is platform governance. We work on mitigating individual harms such as tech-facilitated gender-based violence, AI-facilitated ones. Our advocacy work also covers broader societal and collective harms such as algorithmic injustice and discrimination, by mitigating and organising for AI governance.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operations of Glitch, ensuring effective advocacy delivery and adherence to policies and regulation. You will be the charity's data protection officer, and will meticulously ensure we remain fully compliant with all relevant regulations, maintaining our integrity and trust with regulatory bodies, funders and donors, and our supporters. As the Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Executive Director and our Finance Director.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with/in small, 100% remote charities, small SME, or nonprofit or nongovernmental organisations. For this role, we are seeking candidates based in the UK; they will require the right to work in the UK. Full-time at Glitch is four days (Monday - Thursday).
