Data Analyst - Ad Network (Remote, US)
A fast-growing SaaS platform in the creator/media space (newsletter and publishing tools) is hiring a Data Analyst to embed with its Ad Network team. We're working with them exclusively on this search.
This is a net-new role for someone who wants real ownership: you'll build the reporting, dashboards, and data models that help the network grow for both advertisers and publishers. You'll partner directly with business leaders and a hands-on data leadership team who built much of what you'll be working on.
What you'll do
- Build and own BI dashboards tracking campaign performance, network adoption, and advertiser/publisher health.
- Run ad-hoc deep-dive analyses to surface patterns, friction points, and opportunities.
- Design and maintain your own data models - fact tables, aggregations - to power reporting and analysis.
- Define and track key metrics (CPC, CPA, CPM and beyond) and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve tracking, instrumentation, and data quality.
What we're looking for
- ~3+ years as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar in SaaS or high-growth tech.
- Excellent SQL - this is non-negotiable.
- Hands-on experience building BI dashboards (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, Mode, or similar - skills are transferable).
- Some data modeling ability (designing your own tables/aggregations).
- Solid analytical/statistical fundamentals.
- Strong communicator who can turn complex data into a clear narrative for technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Python for analysis.
- Clustering / statistical techniques (e.g. k-means).
- Ad tech, ad network, or marketing analytics background (CPM vs. CPC fluency).
- Attribution modeling or more data-science-heavy work.
Details
- Fully remote, US-based only. Reasonable overlap with US Eastern hours required.
- Selective, considered hire at a lean, fast-moving, low-bureaucracy company.
