An international machine tool manufacturer is currently seeking a Sales Manager (m/f/d) for Southern Germany (Full Remote).
In this position, you will take full responsibility for the Southern Germany territory, covering the region south of Hesse, with a strong concentration of customers in the Stuttgart area. Candidates may be based anywhere in Southern Germany, as the role is fully remote. You will also maintain close communication with regional brokers and distributors and support customers in Switzerland and Austria.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales activities for machine tools across Southern Germany and selected neighboring markets, including Switzerland and Austria.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and acquiring new business opportunities
- Communicate and coordinate with customers, brokers, agents, and distributors throughout the assigned territory
- Conduct customer visits, understand technical requirements, and provide product presentations and technical consultations
- Prepare and support machine demonstrations, trade fairs, and exhibitions
- Collaborate closely with the Application Engineering team to support pre-sales and post-sales activities
- Work in close cooperation with the Sales Coordinator and Engineering Department to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and customer trends within the manufacturing sector
- Business-fluent German and English language skills
- Proven B2B sales experience in the machine tool, manufacturing equipment, or industrial machinery sector
- Hands-on experience operating machine tools or strong technical knowledge of machining processes and machine tool applications.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and managing relationships with manufacturing customers in Germany
- Experience working with sales agents, distributors, and channel partners.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification is an advantage
- Valid EU driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory
- Ability to work independently in a home-office environment while maintaining close collaboration with internal teams
- 40-hour work week
