As a result of continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support the Finance Director across both the Finance and Operations functions.
The role will initially be for 24-30 hours per week with the possibility for this to increase as the Company continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will take responsibility for all aspects of the day to day accounting for the Company, whilst also supporting the FD and Operations team with order processing, demand planning and stock management.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis for the management team.
- Manage all aspects of cashflow, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare weekly reports, analysing sales performance and KPIs for review.
- Liaise with both customers and suppliers to resolve invoice queries and ensure ledgers are regularly reconciled.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for both the UK and various EU countries.
- Work closely with the Finance Assistant to ensure the Company’s accounting systems are kept up to date at all times.
- Act as the main point of contact for the year end statutory accounts process.
- Weekly demand planning to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained across multiple warehouses.
- Support the wholesale team with SOP, ensuring compliance with export and customs requirements where needed.
Ideal candidate attributes:
- At least part-qualified accountant or someone qualified by experience.
- Strong Excel skills, comfortable with data extraction and transformation from supporting platforms.
- Experience of a variety of accounting and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong financial accounting and technical knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with non-financial colleagues..
- Previous experience in an ecommerce focussed, multi-channel business.
- Cross border exporting, customs and VAT knowledge.
- Pro-active attitude, a self-starter comfortable with remote working.
- Based in or around the Herts, Beds, Bucks area.
The package:
- Working hours: 24-30 hours per week spread across the working week.
- Salary: circa £35-45,000 per annum depending on final hours and experience.
- Holidays: 25 days of annual holiday plus bank holidays pro-rata dependent upon hours.
- Home based: Mainly remote with ad-hoc meetings in London / Hertfordshire.
