QA Engineer / Python Developer

Role DescriptionThe QA Engineer / Python Developer is responsible for ensuring software quality while contributing to the development of scalable and efficient applications, automation tools, and testing frameworks. This role combines software development and quality assurance to improve product reliability, performance, and overall user experience throughout the software development lifecycle.Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate application functionality, performance, and security. The role identifies, documents, and tracks software defects, performs root cause analysis, and collaborates with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.On the development side, the position designs, develops, and maintains Python-based applications, automation scripts, APIs, and backend services. It supports process automation, data processing, system integration, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability.The role participates in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. It also contributes to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, test automation frameworks, and performance optimization to enhance software delivery efficiency.Collaboration with software developers, product managers, business analysts, and QA teams is essential to ensure product quality and alignment with business requirements. The role also supports technical documentation, code reviews, and the adoption of software engineering and testing best practices.QualificationsStrong understanding of software quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, defect management, and software development lifecycle processes. Ability to design and execute both manual and automated testing strategies.Proficiency in Python programming for application development, scripting, automation, and backend development. Familiarity with testing frameworks, automation tools, and API testing methodologies is an advantage.Knowledge of web application architecture, RESTful APIs, databases, version control systems, and CI/CD practices. Understanding of software debugging, performance testing, and system integration concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify software defects, optimize application performance, and develop effective technical solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in Agile and cross-functional development environments. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality software solutions.
