Assistant Manager - Remote

About The Role As an Assistant Manager at Next Dimension Accounting, you’ll be the key day-to-day contact for a portfolio of not-for-profit and business clients. You’ll build trusted relationships, manage workflow, and support the growth and development of your team. Working closely with your Senior Manager, you’ll help translate numbers into clear, decision-ready insights that genuinely support your clients. This is a senior, hands-on role with a strong focus on management accounting (around 75%), complemented by compliance work (around 25%). Over time, you’ll help grow and shape your own team as the client portfolio expands, managing fees of approximately $750k. You’ll be encouraged to think commercially, ask the right questions, and challenge assumptions constructively. You won’t be doing this alone - you’ll be supported by a Senior Manager with over 20 years’ experience who is invested in your development and success. Why Join Us?

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Manage and grow strong, trusted client relationships
• Review and deliver monthly management reporting, dashboards and analysis
• Oversee compliance work, including financial statements, BAS, tax returns and acquittals
• Identify value-add opportunities, efficiencies and scope extensions
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement internally and for clients
• Build and scale the team progressively, starting with a small core team and expanding capacity in line with growth and new client acquisition
• Provide practical, hands-on support - getting into the detail to deliver outcomes, not just review or “tick and flick”

About You You are either a strong Senior Accountant ready for your next career move or recently promoted to an Assistant Manager/Supervisor role. You are confident leading people, commercially minded, and motivated by making a meaningful impact. You Bring

• 6+ years’ experience in Business Services, Management Accounting or similar
• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise
• Proven experience reviewing management reports and compliance work
• Confidence managing workflows, deadlines and competing priorities
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
