This is not a traditional design role. If your process is opening Photoshop or Canva and building an asset by hand, this is not the job, and you will not enjoy it.
We produce 50 to 100 ad assets a month per client. That volume does not work manually. Our static, overlay and hybrid layer is produced through AI design tooling, directed by prompt, and iterated by prompt.
We are looking for someone whose primary craft is getting AI tools to produce genuinely on-brand, on-brief creative, at speed, at volume. Prompting is the skill. Design judgment is what makes the prompting good.
- We make ad creative for DTC brands, mostly US health, wellness and ecommerce. Creator-led video, enhanced B-roll, statics and hybrids.
- We also built our own creative intelligence platform. It reads every ad frame by frame against real Meta performance, so we know which hooks hold, which claims carry, and what the on-screen messaging should be doing on a given account.
- You take that direction and produce the visual layer against it. Overlay templates, static concepts, hybrid layouts, and the brand design system each account runs on.
- Produce through prompting. Statics, overlay templates, hybrid layouts and design systems, built with AI design tooling. Nano Banana, Claude Design and whatever else earns its place. You write the prompts, feed in brand assets and creative direction, and iterate until the output is right. Most of the production work is this.
- Know when it's wrong. AI output is confidently mediocre a lot of the time. The value you add is spotting that instantly and knowing what to change in the prompt to fix it, rather than accepting the fourth-best version because it arrived quickly.
- Understand what the creative is doing. You are not decorating. You need to understand headlines, calls to action, and how a product benefit and solution arc is supposed to land, so that the visual layer supports the argument instead of fighting it. Where the headline sits, what it says, what the eye hits first, why a statement hook needs different treatment to a question hook.
- Build systems, not one-offs. Every account gets a design system: overlay templates, type treatment, colour, motion language. You build it once and it scales across hundreds of assets. Our editors work off what you set up.
- Hold the brand line. Client guidelines, tone, colour, logo usage. Ours and theirs. Things drift when volume is high and someone has to notice.
- Make the pipeline faster. We connect tooling so assets and files move without anyone dragging things between folders. You do not need to code, but you should notice a manual step and want to remove it.
- Genuinely AI-native. You use these tools daily, you prompt well, and you can explain why one prompt produced a better result than another
- A real eye. You can look at an output and say precisely what is wrong with it, not just that it feels off
- Some understanding of performance creative. Headlines, calls to action, benefit and solution arcs, what an ad is trying to do to the person watching
- Comfortable at volume. This is not one perfect asset a week
- Systems thinking. Templates and design systems, not bespoke one-offs
- Able to take written creative direction and run with it without hand-holding
- Australia-based, working closely with our strategist and editors day to day
Nice to have: DTC or performance marketing background, motion or video overlay experience, familiarity with Meta ad formats and placements, experience connecting AI tools into a working pipeline.
Not required: a traditional design degree, an agency portfolio, or deep Adobe skills. We care what you can produce now, with these tools, at this speed.
- You will use tooling most agencies have not adopted properly yet. This is where production is going and you would be doing it now, at volume, on real accounts.
- You find out if it worked. Our platform tells us how the creative performed, down to the frame. You will see whether your overlay treatment held attention or lost it.
- Nothing sits between you and the work. Team of six. What you make ships that week.
- Real brands with real spend. Not startups testing an idea.
- Send us examples of work you have produced with AI tooling, and tell us how you got there. The prompts and the iterations matter more than the final image.
- A short call.
- A paid trial task, about two hours. We give you a brand asset folder and a creative brief, and ask for three overlay or static concepts produced with AI tooling, plus a short note on what you prompted, what came back wrong, and how you fixed it. We care much more about this than your CV.
Time and availability is flexible and based on current demand, must be based in Australia, working remotley.
