In addition, we offer Copy-Editing, Proofreading, and Formatting services for academic and teaching material. Our team has expert knowledge of various systems and tools used in the industry.
Role Description
PA EDitorial is seeking a highly creative, technically adept, and proactive Part-time Marketing Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating high-level marketing strategies into innovative, engaging, and high-quality creative assets. This role is crucial for amplifying PA EDitorial's brand presence and value proposition across various digital channels, specifically targeting the academic publishing community. A strong background in the academic publishing sector is essential for applying accurate context to all creative work.

Hours: Part-Time (20 hours/week, 0.5 FTE) or Full-Time
Location: Remote
Rate: TBC - Pro-Rata for 20 hours/week (£17,500 - £22,500+)
Key Roles & Responsibilities
This role is highly focused on hands-on execution and creative delivery, supporting the overall marketing strategy:
- Creative Content Generation & Scheduling: Create and schedule engaging social media posts (copywriting and design coordination) across platforms, including LinkedIn, BlueSky, Meta platforms, and YouTube, utilising tools like Metricool, Go High Level, Canva, and Teams.
- Visual Asset Production: Design, edit, and optimise a wide range of marketing collateral, including graphics, video content, and presentations, ensuring brand consistency.
- Website Management: Maintain and update the PA EDitorial website using WordPress, including uploading blogs, editing pages, improving SEO metadata, and ensuring design consistency.
- Social Selling & Lead Generation: Utilise LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Social Listening Tools to identify and connect with potential leads, initiating tailored outreach and nurturing early-stage relationships.
- Email Marketing Support: Assist with the setup and distribution of email newsletters or lead-nurturing campaigns using platforms such as Mailerlite and Go High Level.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics across social media and website platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics), produce monthly summary reports, and identify actionable insights.
- Strategic & Creative Collaboration:Confidently bring new ideas to the table that match the creative flair needed to bring these ideas uniquely to life, working in collaboration with PA EDitorials’ Head of Marketing.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Direct industry experience working within the academic publishing sector (mandatory).
- Strong creative proficiency, with demonstrable expertise in graphic design and video editing, and the ability to produce professional, visually engaging digital content.
- Proven experience using AI tools for marketing content creation, ideation, and productivity gains.
- Advanced use of digital marketing tools, including design platforms (e.g. Canva, Adobe) and familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems (e.g. MailerLite, Go High Level, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Strong technical marketing knowledge, including an understanding of GEO/SEO and how content integrates with Large Language Model (LLM)–driven search for optimal visibility, alongside proficiency in website updating and editing.
- Experience with analytics and performance tracking, using tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and LinkedIn Analytics to inform strategy and produce actionable reports.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong copywriting ability and the confidence to present and champion creative ideas to internal stakeholders.
- A proactive and collaborative work ethic, with strong organisational skills and comfort working remotely on a part-time schedule.
