Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

We're growing quickly and need someone to own the reliability, performance, and scalability of our technical estate. You’ll work directly with the founder and engineering team to make sure everything runs smooth.Your Mission

We're looking for a Support & Infrastructure Engineer who can take full ownership of Plexa’s platform operations and tech stack. You’ll proactively manage infrastructure, troubleshoot performance issues, and keep things running fast, secure, and scalable — without drama using the best of breed tooling.

What You’ll Do

• Own the entire infrastructure: Docker, VPS (AWS), PostgreSQL, Nginx, SSL certs, domain configs, backups, NPM and the list goes on.
• Monitor and debug production issues (timeouts, CPU spikes, memory constraints, etc.)
• Automate deployment pipelines and environment updates
• Harden security (firewalls, access controls, patches)
• Handle scaling plans and disaster recovery processes
• Set up effective monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana etc)
• Occasionally assist in debugging NestJS backend or Postgres queries
• Work directly with the founders, high trust, high impact

What You Bring

• 3+ years managing production-grade SaaS infrastructure
• Strong experience with Docker, Linux (Ubuntu), and PostgreSQL
• Confident with reverse proxies and SSL (Nginx, Let’s Encrypt, self-signed certs)
• Able to debug and trace performance issues through logs, metrics, and DB states
• Familiarity with NestJS, React, and TypeScript is a big plus
• Strong ownership mindset: if it breaks, you fix it & fast
• Based in a timezone that overlaps with AEST (ideal but not required)
