Principal Software Engineer (Contract | Fully Remote)

We’re seeking a Principal Software Engineer for an immediate start on a contract basis, with strong potential for long-term extension. This is a fully remote role, working on complex, client-driven technical challenges.

You’ll play a lead role in designing and building high-performance solutions, with a strong focus on data-driven visualisations and translating client problems into clear, scalable technical outcomes.

Key skills & experience

• Strong development experience in C++ and/or React.js
• Experience with Go, Python or Rust (one or more)
• Proven ability to understand client challenges and turn them into effective technical solutions
• Experience building visualisation-focused applications or complex front-end / data-driven systems
• Comfortable operating at a principal level: technical leadership, design decisions, and solution ownership
