Project Officer - mental health, remote/work from home

We are looking for a Project Officer to help us drive a new national program linking people in rural areas to mental health support over telehealth. Rural Health Connect is a social enterprise here to improve access to psychologists for rural Australians. This role would involve working across a broad range of stakeholders, to develop, implement and roll out this exciting new national program.

This role can be done from home with flexible hours, that could be tailored to your availability (between 20 hours a week to full time).

Pro rata of a full-time wage of approximately $75,000-$88,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Project Work: Coordinating project activities, including early planning and implementation. Provide advice around the development of models of care and governance.
• Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure optimal project implementation.
• Risk and Issue Tracking: Assist in identifying, tracking, and managing project risks and issues. Collaborate with team members to develop mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Quality Assurance Support: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project requirements. Assist in conducting reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators. Collect and analyse project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Safety and Quality: Adhere to all Rural Health Connect frameworks and policies, and act in accordance with governance, quality and safety responsibilities as outlined in the RHC Clinical Governance Framework.

We are looking for a candidate:

• With skills and experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
• With strong project management skills and experience, ideally in the health sector
• And/or with strong communication skills and experience in communications
• An understanding of the mental health sector, including referral processes, client management and Medicare
• Who enjoys operating in a new and rapidly evolving environment
• With strong communication skills, problem solving skills and organisational skills
• Who is self-motivated, proactive and passionate about making mental health services accessible to all
