Technical Program Manager III – eDiscovery & Information Governance

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to join a global Legal Technology team, working at the intersection of technical program management, eDiscovery, information governance, AI and data analytics.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong program management expertise with hands-on technical skills, particularly SQL and tooling lifecycle management. You will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, oversee complex workflows, drive technical improvements and build scalable processes to support global litigation, regulatory and information governance matters.
You will collaborate with legal, product, data science, engineering and operations teams, translating complex technical and business requirements into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Strategy & Roadmap: Develop program roadmaps, identify opportunities for process and technology improvements, and assess emerging AI and technology trends.
- Program & Project Delivery: Manage end-to-end project plans, prioritise requirements, track milestones, coordinate resources and ensure delivery against critical deadlines.
- Intake & Workflow Management: Own request intake and triage processes, monitor progress, proactively resolve blockers and manage complex cross-functional workflows.
- Technical Execution: Independently write and execute SQL queries to support casework, technical analysis and program reporting.
- Tooling & Process Improvement: Drive enhancements to existing AI and eDiscovery tools, assess new solutions, and manage the lifecycle of applications, scripts and internal tooling.
- Process Documentation: Develop scalable playbooks, policies, workflows, templates and methodology documentation to improve consistency, manage risk and support defensible processes.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish performance metrics and evaluation frameworks, develop dashboards, and track indicators such as completion rates, turnaround times and blockers.
- Stakeholder Management: Provide clear status updates to internal stakeholders and external legal partners, ensuring alignment, accountability and timely decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical and non-technical teams to translate complex information into clear recommendations and actionable plans.
Essential Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, ideally within eDiscovery, information governance or legal operations.
- Experience supporting complex litigation, regulatory or information governance matters in a high-stakes environment.
- Hands-on SQL skills, with the ability to independently write and execute queries.
- Experience managing development lifecycles, technical tooling and internal applications or scripts.
- Experience developing performance metrics, evaluation frameworks and reporting dashboards.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working directly with AI, machine learning or data science teams.
- Previous experience within a technology company.
- Professional services or client consulting background.
- Familiarity with project management systems such as GSD, SDP or comparable platforms.
- PMP certification.
