Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Sales Development Representative. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and targeted prospecting. Day-to-day activities include researching potential customers, conducting discovery calls, nurturing early-stage relationships, and maintaining accurate records in CRM and sales tools. The role will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, schedule product demonstrations, and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. The Sales Development Representative will also track activity metrics, share feedback on market trends, and contribute to continuous improvement of outreach strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Inside Sales and Lead Generation, including outbound prospecting, handling inbound inquiries, and qualifying opportunities.
- Strong Communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and clearly articulate value propositions.
- Experience in Sales and Business Development, including nurturing pipelines, partnering with account executives, and supporting revenue goals.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and basic sales metrics (e.g., conversion rates, activity tracking).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Comfort engaging with prospects via email, phone, video meetings, and social channels in a professional and inclusive manner.
- Previous experience in SaaS, B2B technology, or AI-driven products is preferred but not required.
- Relevant education or equivalent practical experience in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
