We are seeking experienced and compassionate Wellness Program Facilitators to deliver online mindfulness and wellbeing sessions for veterans and their families.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in trauma-aware facilitation, mindfulness practices, and emotional wellbeing strategies. You will create safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces that support participants in developing resilience, emotional regulation, and stress management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate interactive, evidence-based online group sessions (via Zoom, Teams, or similar platforms).
- Lead participants through structured mindfulness, meditation, and wellbeing practices.
- Conduct participant onboarding, progress tracking, feedback, and follow-up sessions.
- Foster a trauma-aware, inclusive, and supportive group environment.
- Collaborate with program coordinators and administrative teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, participant notes, and reporting documentation.
- Provide feedback to improve session design and participant engagement.
Essential Requirements
- Certification or formal training in mindfulness, counselling, psychology, or wellbeing facilitation.
- Demonstrated experience leading group-based wellbeing or mindfulness programs, preferably online.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and mental health–sensitive facilitation.
- Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or state/territory equivalent.
- Current National Police Check.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working with veterans, mental health clients, or community wellbeing initiatives.
- Familiarity with evidence-based wellbeing frameworks (e.g., MBSR, ACT, Positive Psychology).
- Comfort and proficiency with online facilitation platforms such as Teams, Zoom, or Webex.
- Ability to adapt facilitation style to suit diverse participant needs and group dynamics.
- Awareness of confidentiality and ethical practices in group facilitation.
