About The Role We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic, agile development team at CommandIQ®. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in decomposing high-level roadmap features into actionable development tasks, designing, implementing, and testing software features that meet rigorous security and operational standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting peer reviews, debugging issues, and participating in technical discussions to shape the overarching architecture of our software solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers, will be essential to understand project requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, mission-critical software products. Qualifications
- Frontend framework development experience using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience working with REST APIs and Docker containerization
- Proficiency in UI/UX design and iteration tools such as Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, or Axure
- Experience performing verification-level testing on UI/UX components using frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or Jest
- Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience; an advanced degree may substitute for 2 additional years of experience
- Active U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Decompose high-level roadmap features into detailed, actionable work items for development teams
- Design, develop, and integrate software features, ensuring alignment with project requirements and security standards
- Conduct peer code reviews and debug issues to maintain code quality and system stability
- Participate in technical discussions to define and refine software architecture and design strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform UI/UX verification and testing to ensure optimal user experience and functionality
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools within an Agile environment
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical planning efforts as needed
