About the Construction Company / The Opportunity:

Join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial commercial general contractor specializing in hotel renovations and brand conversions nationwide. This opportunity offers the chance to lead complex projects within occupied hotel environments while partnering with major hospitality brands and multidisciplinary teams. As a Traveling Project Manager, you will oversee project delivery from inception through completion, manage budgets and schedules, and build strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors while traveling extensively throughout the United States.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for hospitality renovation projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities, safety standards, quality control, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage contracts, change orders, procurement activities, project documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Utilize estimating tools such as HeavyBid to forecast costs and maintain effective budget control.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to track milestones, resolve issues, and minimize disruption to hotel operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, Civil 3D models, and other technical drawings to guide construction efforts.


Must-Have Skills:

  • Proven construction experience managing large-scale hospitality renovation or construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, safety protocols, quality assurance, and occupied-building work environments.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or comparable project scheduling software.
  • Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Procore or Bluebeam.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, schematics, Civil 3D models, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with construction estimating methods and tools such as HeavyBid or similar platforms.
  • Strong project coordination, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States, including up to 100% travel.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to travel by air and automobile, and successful completion of a background check.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with hotel renovations, brand conversions, or other hospitality construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction contract law and change order administration.
  • Experience working with major national hospitality brands and their project standards.
  • Familiarity with additional construction management, estimating, or document control platforms.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
