Job Title– Software EngineerAI Jobs is hiring for one of the global players in the artificial intelligence industry, seeking talented Software Engineers to help build and optimize next-generation machine learning systems. This role involves working with highly scalable infrastructure, advanced service layers, and real-world systems engineering challenges.

As part of this engagement, you’ll help develop, test, and refine production-grade environments that power cutting-edge AI research and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and configure Linux-based systems and development environments for large-scale AI applications.
  • Develop APIs and service layers to interface with high-performance AI models.
  • Utilize Bash, Python, and C for scripting, automation, and debugging.
  • Manage version control, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Git, and UNIX tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure scalability, stability, and reproducibility of systems.
  • Debug and optimize performance issues across environments and codebases.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in software or systems engineering at top-tier technology firms, trading companies, or high-performance environments.
  • Expert-level comfort with Linux—including kernel compilation, file permissions, and filesystem operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, Shell, and C.
  • Experience with Docker, Git, and networking fundamentals.
  • Open-source experience or familiarity with large codebases a plus.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (U.S., Canada, or U.K. preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Role Highlights

  • Workload: 20–40 hours per week (potential to scale up to 80 hours).
  • Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — complete tasks on your own time.
  • Duration: 1–2 months minimum, with potential for extension.
  • Start Date: Late October to early November.

Compensation & Contract Terms

  • Hourly Rate: $85–$120/hour, based on experience and technical depth.
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor.
  • Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect.
