You will spearhead the RD&E Team’s activities involved in designing, developing and executing the research and data aspect of the pilot intervention strategies and the scientific research and evidencing to achieve their mission and goals. What difference will you make? All research, data and evidencing work related to delivering scientifically sound outcomes of research and pilot interventions, including; designing, developing and maintaining relevant protocols, methodologies and quality standards, evidencing of all education content being delivered in these interventions, and intervention data being collected, analysed and presented, in all areas of research and intervention being conducted. What are we looking for? Experience / Skills / Qualifications University degree or equivalent People management and leadership experience. Prior experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary). Experience from a research environment is essential. Proven interest in metabolic health and the importance of good nutrition & lifestyle. Articulate written, visual and verbal communicator, excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills; fluency in English is essential. Previous experience of working for Charities and/or volunteer organisations is desirable but not required. Enjoys building and working as part of team and inspiring others. What will you be doing? As Chief RD&E Officer, and as part of The CHC Executive Leadership Team, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following functional responsibilities Define the strategy, set SMART Goals and lead your functional project teams within CFK and FAS, as appropriate to achieve the goals of these projects. Support the building of your functional project teams, with appropriately qualified people and sufficient resources, to achieve the goals and strategic objectives set for the two projects. Proactively identify and deal with Risks and Quality issues as appropriate to your functional areas within the two Projects. Working in partnership with the strategic leadership of both CFK and FAS to design and lead all research, data collection and analysis and evidencing aspects of both these projects. Regular on-line operational and administrative meetings, as needed, to manage and lead the projects successfully to deliver against the project goals. Direct strategic leadership, advisory and support to your Team Leaders to help them develop and execute their specific strategies and action plans as they relate to research, data and evidencing. Be an active member of The CHC Executive team, attending weekly meetings, contributing to defining the strategic aims of the charity and its projects, whilst representing and driving the Research, Data and Evidencing Team strategy for the ultimate befit of the long-term vision and mission of The CHC and its projects. Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the following, by leading the RD&E Team to Develop robust and scientific-based research and data collection protocols and methodologies for interventions to meet the goals of the projects. Guide the Evidencing of Key Messages in the Education Content proposed by the Education Content Team (CT) to be delivered via the various Interventions. Guide the Research and Data Teams. Guide the Progress Reporting by each Team and consolidating and reporting overall CFK Interventions and FAS project progress. Supporting Funding Applications with appropriate outcomes reports and other data and evidencing needed
