• Responsible for providing best-in-class onboarding experience for SMB merchants adopting Doordash Commerce Platform products.
• Acts as the merchants’ “quarterback”—troubleshooting, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth transitions from current solutions.
• Works closely with sales and account management teams to set up merchants for success from day one.

Day-to-day activities include:

• Setting up kickoff calls and project-managing implementation of online ordering, mobile apps, loyalty, and gift card programs.
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure merchants use products immediately after sign-up.
• Technical troubleshooting of issues (both on merchant websites and internal systems).
• Educating merchants on products: answering “how-to” questions, guiding setup, and providing operational support during initial weeks.
• Collecting and registering merchant feedback on products.
• Reports to: Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations, within the Commerce Platform organization.
• Role: Primarily remote, but close to corporate hubs for co-working and team collaboration as needed

ResponsibilitiesDrive Merchant Onboardings & Implementations

• Provide clear, concise communication throughout the onboarding process.
• Deliver strong presentations; manage merchant frustrations with professionalism.

Training & Education

• Train merchants on DoorDash’s Online Ordering product and functionality.
• Proactively guide and educate merchants through setup and transition.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Use tech-savviness and curiosity to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot merchant problems before escalating to engineering.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Support

• Work with sales and account management teams to resolve merchant implementation challenges.
• Share product and operations feedback to guide team trajectory and product development.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Meet internal and external service standards and timeline goals.
• Highlight opportunities for leadership to improve workflows and drive merchant success.
• Achieve immediate results while adapting to evolving work environments.
• Look for ways to improve processes and shape company direction.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 3–5 years in onboarding, implementation, project management, or account management.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong organizational skills with accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with individual contributors.
• Excellent external and internal presentation and communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and curious: ability to troubleshoot merchant issues before escalation.
