Freelance Animator

A unique opportunity is available for a creative animator to craft a 2D animated cutscene introducing a Colorado-based trip-hip hop band. The project centers on a space bounty hunter character, capturing her arrival, the unloading of defeated aliens, and the marking of her spaceship. The animation should convey the character’s rugged personality and serve as a memorable introduction for the band’s audience. This is a remote, project-based role ideal for animators passionate about storytelling and visual engagement. Deliverables

• Develop a 2D animated cutscene featuring a space bounty hunter as described
• Design and animate character actions, including ship landing, unloading aliens, and marking the spaceship
• Ensure the animation aligns with the band’s creative vision and musical style
• Collaborate on storyboarding and visual direction as needed
• Deliver final animation files in required formats for digital use

Requirements

• Proven experience in 2D animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing character-driven work
• Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, After Effects)
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into engaging visuals
