Brunswick High School is revolutionizing career planning for students by showcasing diverse post-secondary pathways beyond traditional four-year colleges. On February 27, the school hosted a Trades and Training Fair, connecting students with over 40 community partners to explore in-demand careers and practical training opportunities.

The event, held from 9 to 11 a.m., provided students with direct access to a range of post-secondary pathways including community colleges, unions, apprenticeship programs, and career planning resources. This initiative is designed to give students practical exposure to alternative career options that don't require a traditional four-year college degree.
One of the key highlights was the Medina County Career Center's showcase of free training programs available to all Brunswick High School graduates. These programs offer immediate access to post-graduation career preparation, helping students transition smoothly into the workforce.

Superintendent Jason Niedermeyer emphasized the importance of such events: "This fair exemplifies our commitment to providing relevant, real-world experiences for every student. We celebrate these opportunities that connect students with community partners and expose them to diverse career pathways."
He further explained that events like the Trades and Training Fair ensure students have the information and connections to succeed on their chosen career path, whether they plan to attend college, enter a trade, join the military, or start their career right after graduation.
