Insider Career Tips from Nuclear Power Pros: What 40 Students Learned

Current nuclear power plant professionals have stepped up as career mentors, sharing firsthand job experiences and recruitment insights with university students. Gori Nuclear Power Plant recently hosted an employment support communication program for 40 students from Pukyong National University, offering a rare glimpse into the industry.

Event Highlights

The program, held at the Gori Sports Center multi-performance hall, was organized to strengthen cooperation between local universities and the industry. Students learned about Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's recruitment process and attended a special lecture on "Nuclear Power in the Era of AI."

The most popular segment was job mentoring. Professionals from seven departments—including power generation, maintenance, and safety—met with students in small groups. They shared their career journeys, discussed how to prepare for employment, explained on-site work, and conducted Q&A sessions.
