On the "Stick to Football" podcast, Brady emphasized that Mendoza must continue to develop: "Now you're just a member of the team... there's a lot of development that still needs to happen."
Mendoza has been soaking up Brady's wisdom, sharing that Brady told him: "You need to be the most everything. You need to be the most competitive. You need to be the most leader... You need to be the toughest, mentally and physically. You've got to embody all these things and lead by example before getting the respect from your teammates."
Brady also highlighted two key leadership variables: caring about your teammates and caring about the team's goals. It's not about individual accolades but about winning championships.
Mendoza's maturity has impressed Brady, who said, "He's a very mature young man. And he's got a bright future." With Brady's guidance, Mendoza has a unique advantage as he begins his NFL journey.
