Whether you're struggling with school work, searching for a job, planning for college, or just need a break during the day, Los Alamitos High School offers a variety of resources to help students meet their goals and thrive.
Tutoring at the Media Center
Tutoring is available before school starting at 7:30 a.m. and after school from 2:15–5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. Help is provided by both fellow students and teachers, covering subjects like all math levels, English, Spanish, French, biology, and chemistry.
Even if you don't need tutoring, the media center is a great place to get homework done in a quiet environment. As junior Alexia Kontes shared, "I enjoy having a quiet place to do my work."

College and Career Center
If you're looking for a job or need help with career planning, the College and Career Center is your go-to resource. They offer both in-person assistance and online resources, including work permits, interview tips, application guidance, and information on student worker rights.
Check out their virtual job board for current job listings in the Los Alamitos area. The center also provides support for college planning and testing information (e.g., AP, SATs).

WellSpace for Mental Health
The WellSpace is designed for students who need a break from class and want to engage in mental health activities. Inside, you'll find tools like coloring materials, Legos, slime, and books. Counselors are available if you need someone to talk to.
Outside, the Oasis garden offers a calming spot with the scent of lavender—perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

LAHS has many resources to help students succeed, from tutoring and career advice to mental health support, available throughout the day.
