About the job

BAM is an ambitious, ecommerce business offering a genuine alternative to conventional active wear. Now a certified B-Corp and an accredited living wage employer, the company was set up in 2006 by David Gordon who wanted to prove a sustainable business could be commercially successful. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our social marketing and channel strategies, playing a crucial role in driving online demand, brand experience and sales. This role needs to work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging and campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing objectives. Create engaging content calendars and ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms (Instagram and Facebook, primarily).
  • Content Creation & Curation: Produce high-quality, visually appealing content, including statics, videos, stories, reels, and written posts, tailored to each platform. Brief and curate user-generated content. Brief in-house creative team for any content requirements that require graphic design and core bran photography.
  • Influencer Marketing: Growing our influencer network is a large part of this role. This requires being proactive in getting new audiences to discover BAM through consistant outreach and discovering new talent to advocat for us who align to our values and audience. Sourcing, briefing and publishing influencer content inline with the content calendar or campaign and managing relationships with key influencers for on-going opportunities.
  • Partnership and co-lab outreach: Identifying other brands that align with our values for cross promotion posts and opportunities.
  • Community Management: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a positive and interactive online community. Monitor brand mentions and address customer inquiries/concerns promptly and professionally. (Customer service are responsible for order related queries.)
  • Platform Management: Manage and optimize social media profiles, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect the brand's identity. Stay up-to-date with the latest platform algorithm changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement, website traffic, and conversions. Analyse data, generate reports, and provide insights to optimize social media campaigns and measure ROI.
  • Trend Monitoring & Research: Stay informed about current social media trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new platforms and technologies.
  • Team management: Support and guide the part time social exec to ensure channel is effectively managed and content is scheduled in a timely manner. Collaborate closely with other marketing team members to ensure cohesive brand messaging and integrated marketing efforts.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within consumer lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics.
  • Excellent content creation and copywriting skills.
  • Strong visual sense and experience with photo/video.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Sprout).
  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret data to optimize campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community management skills.
  • Passion for fitness, health, and the activewear industry is a plus.

  • Increased organic social reach to new audiences
