The role In this role, you will work on the front-end systems that deliver our economic models to clients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining clean, functional interfaces for various dashboards and internal tools. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a disciplined approach to code and a focus on accuracy. You will work alongside our development and analysis teams to ensure that complex business variables are presented in a simple, readable manner. What you will do

• Construct user interfaces for data-heavy dashboards using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Write clean and maintainable code that follows our existing technical standards.
• Translate design mockups into functional web components with high precision.
• Build and expand our internal library of reusable code and components.
• Monitor and improve the performance of existing tools to ensure they load efficiently.
• Identify and fix bugs or layout consistency issues across different browsers.

Day-to-day

• Collaborating with the technical lead to review task lists and update development progress.
• Drafting responsive layout code to ensure tools are usable on various screen types.
• Participating in code reviews to learn from senior developers and improve code quality.
• Updating technical documentation to reflect changes in the codebase.
• Refining data visualization elements, such as charts and tables, based on feedback from our economic analysts.

What we need from you

• A solid foundation in core web technologies including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and how to manipulate the document object model.
• An ability to solve technical problems through logical steps.
• Strong attention to detail when arranging elements and maintaining visual consistency.
• A preference for simple and functional solutions over complex or decorative ones.
• Reliable communication skills for a remote, collaborative work environment.

Helpful background

• Previous exposure to version control tools like Git.
• A basic understanding of how websites interact with data through APIs.
• Familiarity with modern frontend libraries like React, though this is not a strict requirement.
