CAMPEA is the regional industry organisation for global finance and private capital professionals ushering fund management and private markets investing in Central Africa markets. It focuses on practitioneers community gathering, as well as reporting industry transactional activities and providing capital allocation insights and market intelligence to alternative assets and investment managers in the region. CAMPEA aims to promote commercial and ESG-focused sustainable asset transactions that positively impact growth for investment stakeholders, growth companies, and society in Central Africa. The Association also advocates for investment principles and regimes in emerging markets of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Event Program Director, offering immense career prospects in the African and global private equity industry and related financial markets fields. The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing program activities and rollouts, designing and developing, deploying, and evaluating CAMPEA conferences and events, and managing program budgets and resources. They will coordinate with stakeholders, lead program initiatives, develop strategic plans, and ensure that program goals are achieved. Additionally, the Program Director will be responsible for fostering partnerships, advocating for investment principles, and promoting the organization's mission with CAMPEA’s host of stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Program management, budget management, and resource allocation skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing programs, and evaluating program effectiveness
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and partnership-building skills
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and lead program initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience in the investment space or related industry is a preference, but not umandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field
