Position: Accounting Expert (UK GAAP)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30–$60/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review and label financial documents according to UK GAAP standards to support AI training projects.
• Apply accounting principles and disclosure checklists to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with data science and product teams to interpret complex financial records and disclosures.
• Ensure all labeled data aligns with current UK GAAP guidelines and accounting best practices.
• Identify inconsistencies or errors in financial datasets and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide feedback on data models to improve AI learning and performance in financial analysis tasks.
• Document insights related to UK GAAP application to support future AI training and development.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant or auditor with practical experience working under UK GAAP.
• Strong familiarity with financial disclosure checklists and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail in reviewing financial statements.
• Ability to apply accounting principles to real-world financial data.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical accounting concepts.
