Legal Experts (J.D.) | Remote

Position: Legal Expert (J.D.) Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $100–$110/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities

• Design high-quality, real-world legal problems to support training and evaluation of frontier AI systems.
• Build multi-step legal workflows requiring navigation of court databases, citation extraction, and regulatory analysis.
• Develop detailed evaluation rubrics to assess AI agent reasoning and performance.
• Apply litigation, regulatory, and legal research expertise to ensure technical accuracy and realism.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of legal and research experts.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top university.
• Professional experience in litigation, regulatory practice, or legal research.
• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, or CourtListener.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high English proficiency.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment.
