About the role

Business Operations Manager

Eden Recruitment Ltd | £42,000–£52,000 DOE | Fully Remote (UK) | Full-Time

An opportunity to take ownership of the operations behind a growing specialist recruitment business.

At Eden Recruitment, we specialise in connecting exceptional talent with businesses across Financial Services, Professional Services and beyond, with particular expertise in Business Support, HR & Talent, and Workplace.

We're looking for an experienced, proactive Business Operations Manager to work closely with our Founder and recruitment team, taking ownership of the systems, processes and day-to-day operations that keep Eden running smoothly.

This is a varied, hands-on position with plenty of autonomy. We're looking for someone who takes responsibility, anticipates what needs doing, spots opportunities for improvement and enjoys finding smarter ways of working.

You'll be someone who enjoys getting things right, takes pride in the details and is equally comfortable managing established processes and introducing new ideas.

What you'll be doing

Business Operations, Diary Management & Interview Coordination

  • Managing the Founder's diary, meetings and key business priorities.
  • Taking ownership of interview coordination and scheduling across the business, liaising with candidates, clients and consultants to arrange interviews, manage changes and ensure all relevant details are communicated and recorded.
  • Coordinating Teams meetings, interview confirmations and follow-up administration to ensure a seamless experience for candidates and clients.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operational administration, ensuring deadlines, actions and commitments are followed through.
  • Maintaining business documentation, processes and internal procedures.
  • Supporting the organisation of team activities and events, including our summer and Christmas celebrations.

Payroll, Compliance & Finance Administration

  • Taking ownership of temporary worker payroll administration, including timesheets, accuracy checks, deadlines and coordination with relevant providers.
  • Managing candidate background screening and pre-employment compliance processes, ensuring checks are completed accurately and within required timescales.
  • Preparing and managing client invoicing, resolving queries and monitoring outstanding payments.
  • Maintaining accurate financial and compliance records, liaising with external accountants and payroll providers as required.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline administrative processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Systems, CRM & Process Improvement

  • Taking ownership of our recruitment CRM, ensuring records are accurate, processes are followed and the system is being used effectively across the team.
  • Reviewing existing systems, tools and subscriptions to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Exploring automation, AI and emerging technology to help the business work more effectively.
  • Introducing and implementing improvements to workflows, processes and systems.
  • Supporting the recruitment team with systems, troubleshooting and best practice.
  • Identifying gaps or inefficiencies and proactively finding solutions rather than waiting for issues to arise.

Suppliers, Marketing & Business Coordination

  • Managing relationships with external suppliers, ensuring agreed work is delivered on time and to the expected standard.
  • Coordinating updates to our website, brochures, marketing materials and other business communications.
  • Overseeing external marketing, website and technology providers, monitoring progress and ensuring projects are completed.
  • Keeping track of supplier contracts, renewals, costs and performance.
  • Supporting the coordination of internal projects and business initiatives.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is exceptionally organised, commercially aware, resourceful and comfortable taking genuine ownership of their responsibilities.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience in business operations, recruitment operations or a similarly varied role within a professional services environment.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience coordinating interviews, managing diaries and communicating confidently with candidates, clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with payroll administration, invoicing and compliance processes.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and other business technology.
  • A genuine interest in process improvement, automation and finding smarter ways of working.
  • The ability to manage external suppliers and confidently follow up to ensure commitments are delivered.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The confidence to work directly with the Founder while supporting the wider team.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience within a recruitment agency would be particularly advantageous, especially knowledge of temporary worker compliance, interview coordination, timesheets and payroll.

Above all, we're looking for someone who takes pride in getting things right, follows through on commitments and enjoys making a tangible difference to how a business operates.

What we offer

  • Salary of £42,000–£52,000, depending on experience.
  • A fully remote, UK-based position, with regular opportunities to get together as a team.
  • The opportunity to work closely with the Founder and have a genuine influence on how the business operates.
  • A varied role with autonomy, responsibility and scope to introduce your own ideas.
  • A collaborative, supportive team where your contribution will be valued.

If you're someone who enjoys bringing order to a busy business, takes ownership naturally and is always looking for ways to make things work better, we'd love to hear from you.
