Overview We’re seeking an experienced Collections and Deductions Analyst with strong analytical and advanced Excel skills to manage large, complex client accounts, often exceeding $5M in invoice value. This role goes beyond simple collections...it’s about investigating, analyzing, and resolving root causes behind payment issues for critical supply clients, including major health systems and the Department of Defense. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage collections and deductions for high-value corporate accounts, ensuring timely resolution of payment discrepancies.
  • Perform advanced Excel analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and custom reporting) to identify trends, root causes, and client-specific issues.
  • Engage directly with senior-level client contacts (Finance, AP, and Procurement) to resolve complex issues with professionalism and precision.
  • Respond rapidly to urgent client inquiries, ensuring minimal disruption to critical supply chains (e.g., medications and medical devices).
  • Conduct root cause investigations on disputes, short payments, and deductions; recommend process improvements based on findings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal finance, AR, and operations teams to resolve issues efficiently and accurately.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Collections, AR Analysis, or Deductions Management, preferably in large enterprise or healthcare sectors.
  • Proven mastery of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and analytical modeling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with C-suite and senior finance contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions—not just process transactions.
  • Experience using client payment portals and ERP systems for analytical, not just administrative, functions.
