Your Mission:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, such as organising invoices, tracking expenses, and processing payments
- Help monitor and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure everything stays on track
- Support the preparation of simple financial reports and internal overviews (like cash flow summaries)
- Assist in gathering documents and data for monthly VAT submissions and reconciliations
- Help maintain payroll records and keep cost-tracking spreadsheets up to date
- Coordinate with foreign accountants to provide information and follow up on pending tasks
- Keep financial files and documentation well-organised across our ventures
- Provide general admin support to the finance team on tasks related to taxes, reporting, or optimisation
- Share updates and key findings with senior team members, including the CEO, as needed
What You Bring to the Table:
Required:
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level)
- Comfortable reading and understanding basic legal or financial documents
- Strong organisational skills – you enjoy creating structure and staying on top of details
- A careful and precise working style – you're the kind of person who double-checks their work
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Able to stay focused and productive, even when things get busy
- A collaborative mindset – you like being part of a team and offering support when needed
- Residency in Malta to align with operational requirements.
Bonus Points for:
- Knowledge of VAT rules across different jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with finance basics (balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow statements).
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
- Financial modelling skills (FAST Standards preferred).
