Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. Responsibilities include reconciling bank and account statements, processing invoices and payments, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and preparing regular financial reports for management. The role will also support month-end and year-end close processes, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support sustainable growth. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent communication, timely delivery of financial information, and strong attention to detail in a digital, impact-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general accounting, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting using common accounting and spreadsheet tools.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with accounting software and cloud-based financial systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Interest in sustainability, impact measurement, or ESG reporting is highly beneficial.
