The Opportunity

We are supporting a major public sector shared services transformation programme involving multiple government departments consolidating and outsourcing back-office services. As part of this programme, we are seeking a Senior Senior Finance Analyst to play a critical role in designing and delivering core finance processes within a complex, highly regulated environment. This is a rare opportunity to shape operating models at scale and contribute to the design of robust, technically sound R2R solutions across a large function.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for designing and validating Record-to-Report processes within a new shared services operating model. This is not a BAU finance role - it is a transformation-focused position. You will:

• Design and build end-to-end Record-to-Report processes
• Develop operating procedures and detailed process documentation
• Work collaboratively with internal workstream leads and senior stakeholders
• Align delivery responsibilities within the new service model
• Validate technical accounting solutions to ensure deliverability
• Support mobilisation of outsourced/shared service finance functions
• Engage directly with client stakeholders in a consultative capacity

What We're Looking For Essential Experience

• 5+ years' experience within a Record-to-Report environment
• Public sector or central government experience
• Strong technical accounting background
• Experience designing or transforming finance operating models
• Ability to build processes from the ground up
• Confident stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments

Highly Desirable

• Shared services set-up or transformation experience
• Experience delivering finance services within an outsourced model
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
