This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Provider Operations in United States. This role sits at the core of a fast-scaling digital health organization focused on transforming cardiometabolic care through an AI-enabled, whole-person approach. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of provider operations, ensuring the right clinicians are recruited, onboarded, supported, and retained to deliver high-quality care at scale. Acting as a critical link between clinical, product, engineering, and operations teams, you will design systems that optimize provider experience, performance, and productivity. This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role where you will define how a modern provider network operates in a technology-driven healthcare model. You will shape workforce strategy across both employed and independent provider models while improving operational efficiency and care delivery outcomes. It is an ideal opportunity for a leader passionate about healthcare innovation, operational excellence, and scalable impact. Accountabilities

  • Own the full provider lifecycle across W2 and 1099 models, including hiring, onboarding, engagement, performance management, retention, and offboarding.
  • Design and continuously improve provider experience programs, including engagement strategies, feedback loops, and community-building initiatives.
  • Develop workforce strategy and capacity planning aligned with business growth, demand forecasting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with recruiting teams to build strong provider pipelines and optimize hiring outcomes, including mix of provider types and employment models.
  • Define and manage provider performance frameworks focused on quality, productivity, utilization, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance provider-facing tools and workflows that reduce friction and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee provider compensation, incentives, and payment operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with performance outcomes.
  • Lead provider operations infrastructure, including systems, workflows, and processes supporting scalable and efficient care delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare operations, provider operations, or workforce management roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing clinical teams or large-scale provider organizations.
  • Proven success building and scaling provider or workforce operations in high-growth healthcare or digital health environments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, with experience in capacity planning, utilization, and cost optimization.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, clinical, and recruiting teams.
  • Strong understanding of provider engagement, performance management, and operational excellence in healthcare settings.
  • Experience with both W2 and 1099 workforce models is strongly preferred.
  • Background in telehealth, value-based care, or clinical operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package with equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Flexible remote work environment with distributed teams.
  • Unlimited or flexible paid time off policies.
  • Professional development support, including education and training budgets.
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful healthcare innovation improving chronic disease outcomes.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on accessibility and affordability in healthcare.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge AI-enabled healthcare systems and workflows.
