We’re working with a well-established and growing accounting firm looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team. This is a 100% remote opportunity, giving you the freedom to work from anywhere in Australia while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive team.
The Role
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of business clients and work closely with Managers and Partners across compliance, taxation and advisory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- BAS and IAS preparation
- Tax planning and general business advisory
- Div 7A, CGT, FBT and other complex tax matters
- Managing your own workflow and client portfolio
- Building strong relationships and communicating directly with clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior accountants where required
- Working closely with senior leadership on more complex client matters
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- 3–4+ years of Australian Public Practice experience
- Strong Business Services and Tax experience
- Confidence working autonomously and managing deadlines
- Experience dealing directly with clients
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance
- CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards it
- Xero experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote team
